Sample Nearly Done

The SSK is about to start and I am VERY close to being done with the sample. The Christmas visit to PA allowed for enough knitting to finish all the strips and many have been seamed togther. I just need to do some blocking before I complete the last bit of seaming.

Your first round of instructions will be in the mail no later than January 2. I have had a blast working on the project. It is very enjoyable -- if I do say so myself.

I am hoping that all of you will start posting to the blog as you each get started as that is half the fun of a knit-a-long -- seeing each others progress. I will post a picture of the finished garment before I leave for the New Year's Weekend.

Hi Gwen! I am excited about getting my Sample Stitch Kimono started! Based on the initial info you sent, I think I will be using some Lavold Silky Wool that I have in the stash.

I just ordered the project yesterday, so can't wait for it to get in so I know what I am doing.

Would love to see a picture of the finished SSK when you get a chance.
